Colleen Durkin Peterson joins Friedman Rubin

We are thrilled to share the news that Colleen Durkin Peterson has joined Friedman Rubin as a Partner.

Colleen is no stranger to Friedman Rubin, as during her time at her previous firm Pfau Cochran Veretis Amala she and her team had co-counseled with us on a large mass tort for several years.
Colleen has been an attorney for 12 years and graduated from Gonzaga Law School where both her father, John Durkin, and uncle, Frank Ladenburg, attended. She grew up in their law firm and later worked with Jim Holman for 8 years where she learned how to try medical negligence cases. Colleen enjoys the medicine aspect of personal injury cases as well as getting to know her clients so that she can meaningfully convey their losses to the defense, mediators, the court, and juries.

A jacuzzi tub played a certain role when Colleen at an early age decided to become the President of the Washington State Association for Justice. You can read more about that in this Sept 2023 Trial News article. Friedman Rubin doesn’t have a jacuzzi tub in the office but despite this obvious deficiency Colleen decided to join us anyway, and we couldn’t be happier. Her full profile is available here.

When not dominating in the court room as the extraordinary trial lawyer she is, Colleen enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. One of her Happy Places is Kailua where she spent summers growing up at her grandparents’ house and spending time with their family.

Welcome to Friedman Rubin, Colleen!
