Isabel Sanner represents people who have been harmed and are seeking accountability. At Friedman Rubin, she works alongside the firm’s trial team to build cases, hold wrongdoers responsible, and help clients find a way forward after some of the hardest experiences of their lives.
Isabel’s commitment to plaintiff-side civil litigation comes from hands-on experience. She began working in personal injury law at the Law Office of J.D. Smith. She then worked as a legal assistant and intern at Schroeter Goldmark & Bender, where she supported advocacy for injured people and their families. That work showed her how much skilled representation can change the outcome for someone who feels they have nowhere else to turn.
She also gained insight from the bench. As a Rule 9 Legal Extern for the Honorable Richard A. Jones at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, Isabel saw firsthand how judges evaluate arguments, evidence, and advocacy. She now brings that perspective to every case she handles. She also completed an externship with the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, where she advocated for clients facing high-stakes legal challenges.
Isabel earned her law degree from Seattle University School of Law. There she competed regionally and nationally in Moot Court and Dispute Resolution competitions and served in leadership of the Latinx Law Student Association. She is the first person in her immediate family to become a lawyer, and she brings that sense of purpose to her work for clients.
Isabel’s mission as an attorney focuses on one fundamental idea: to be a catalyst for change that shows her clients that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
