Biography

Lincoln is a skilled litigator specializing in catastrophic personal injury, commercial trucking accidents and product liability. His product liability practice has a special focus on cases involving commercial trucks, industrial equipment, and medical products and his practice in the area of commercial vehicle product liability focuses on emerging technologies such as event data technology, crash avoidance technology, and advanced driver assistance systems. Lincoln also has extensive experience with insurance bad faith and insurance coverage.

In his years as a successful litigator and trial lawyer, Lincoln has tried a variety of cases, obtaining substantial jury verdicts and settlements for his clients. Lincoln was one of the plaintiff’s trial counsel in Washington v. Teva, winning a $104 Million product liability verdict for a retired mechanic and his wife. He was one of the lead counsel and obtained a $35 Million settlement in Doe v ABC Corp, a commercial trucking collision that resulted in catastrophic injuries. He was also one of the plaintiff’s trial counsel in Couch v. MSA, winning an $7.2 Million product liability verdict for a retired coal miner. Lincoln has also successfully represented clients in the Washington State Supreme Court and Court of Appeals. Two representative cases are Clausen v. Icicle Seafoods, Inc., 174 Wash.2d 70 (2012) and DePhelps v. Safeco Ins. Co. of America, 116 Wash.App. 441 (2003).

Lincoln graduated cum laude from Seattle University School of Law in 1991. He is a graduate of the Trial Lawyer’s College and is rated preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Rating System. He has been named a Super Lawyer by Washington Law and Politics each year since 2006 and was named to the top 100 Super Lawyers in Washington in 2014.

Lincoln is a past chairman of the Insurance Law Section of the Washington State Association for Justice (Eagle Member) and is a member of its Legislative Steering Committee. Lincoln was recently voted one of the top 100 attorneys in Washington by SuperLawyers Magazine.
